Camp KT 2022 was the Best One Yet!

Good times were had at Kissing Tree’s Camp KT, held on Thursday, March 10th. This has traditionally been one of the 55+ master-planned community’s most popular events for both residents and visitors, and everyone was excited to have it back for 2022.

The spring-break style party kicked off at 3 pm in the Biergarten with live music from our favorite Jimmy Buffet tribute band, the Texas Tide. As residents and guests rolled in, we sang along to Margaritaville, the Eagles, and more. Good eats from local food trucks helped folks keep their strength up for mixing and mingling. The bar at Independence Hall was busy serving margaritas, ice cold beers, wine, and other delicious concoctions.

Several KT clubs including the KT Veterans group, the KT RVers, and the Word Weavers had tables set up in the Activities room to introduce themselves to new folks. There was an additional bar by the outdoor resort-style pool, as well as outdoor games like cornhole. There were also prizes: a $1,500 travel voucher was won by Cheryl Gentz, a guest of residents Gary and Nancy Ames, and a $500 travel voucher was won by resident Heidi Ross.

“It was so much fun,” Kissing Tree resident Susan Ellis told us. While Susan was busy manning the Word Weavers booth inside Independence Hall, she saw a steady flow of residents and visitors. “It was fun to see people out and about again, showing interest in all the groups available at Kissing Tree. It really showed what an active community it is!”
