We’ve Got The Loves
We’ve Got The Loves
When John and Martha Love were looking for the perfect place to retire, they knew they wanted to be closer to their daughters in San Antonio. The couple lived in Missouri City, outside of Houston, where John had worked as a geologist in the oil and gas industry for more than 40 years and Martha had been a high school math teacher. As they explored their options, Martha saw an ad online for Kissing Tree.
Kissing Tree Rocks
“I noticed a Kissing Tree Facebook ad featuring the beautiful entrance to Kissing Tree,” Martha said. “John loved the laying and curvature of the rocks and identified them as part of the Balcones Escarpment (Fault zone), the first “hill” of the hill country. We knew right then that we had to check out this community.” And they were glad they did!
Pickleball and More
The Loves moved to Kissing Tree in 2018 for the wonderful neighbors and the amenities, and it’s been a great experience for their family, including Dreyfus, their Papillion. Martha and John have enjoyed playing pickleball, as well as meeting friends for happy hours, enjoying the indoor and resort-style pools, and taking part in clubs and activities at The Mix. When it’s not too hot out, they enjoy spending time on their shaded back porch, where they’ve added a fire pit. During the holiday season, they loved Christmas caroling through the neighborhood.
A Caring Community
“The neighbors are so very nice and caring,” Martha said. “It’s not just about a home. It’s about neighbors caring for one another, community, and living active together. We love it here”
